Boombox Beach ClubReverse Co-ed Beach Volleyball Tournament:
Get ready for a unique twist on traditional co-ed volleyball with our Reverse Co-ed Beach Volleyball Tournament! This format flips the game by adjusting court rules based on gender, making for an exciting, strategic, and fast-paced competition.
Tournament Format:
- Teams: Each team consists of at least two men and two women (4v4 format).
- Court Adjustments: The net height is set at women’s regulation height (lower than standard co-ed play).
- Attack Rules:Men can only attack from behind the 10-foot (3-meter) line—no front-row hitting or blocking.
- Women can attack from anywhere on the court and are the primary front-row offensive players.
- Blocking: Only women are allowed to block at the net, making positioning and defensive strategy crucial.
- Serving: Standard beach volleyball serving rules apply, with no restrictions based on gender.
Divisions & Levels:
- Open to all skill levels, with separate divisions for competitive and recreational teams.
- Pool play followed by a single or double-elimination bracket (format depends on the number of registered teams).

Schedule
Check-In: 3:30 PM
First Serve: 4:00 PM
- Pool Play: 3 games to 21 | 3:30 – 6:00 PM
- Bracket Play: Double elimination | 6:00 – 10:00 PM
- Semi-Finals & Finals: Around 9:00 PM – Stick around and celebrate with us!
Bracket Play Rules
- Bracket games will be played to 28, win by 2, no cap
Rules
- USAV Beach Volleyball Rulebook will be followed
- For social teams, there will be some leniency with hand setting when setting a teammate
- Hand setting over the net without being square is still a fault
- No net touches (for safety reasons)
- No gender touch rule – play however works best for your team
- Block does count as a touch
